What Will Your Word Of 2011 Be?

Posted by Melissa Schmalenberger on January 1, 2011 in Family, Moms |

Can you put your hopes and dreams of 2011 in one word?  This was part of an email message I got in a newsletter from Gretchen Rubin, author of “The Happiness Project” .   I think the word you choose says a lot about you and your way of thinking.  Are you an optimist or are you a pessimest?  Choose your word with some thought and reflection.  I choose “Joyful” and I love all three definitions of the word.  It is my sincere hope and desire to be more joyful in 2011!

joy·ful

–adjective

1. full of joy, as a person or one’s heart; glad; delighted.
2. showing or expressing joy, as looks, actions, or speech.
3. causing or bringing joy, as an event, a sight, or news; delightful: the joyful announcement of their marriage.

What do you choose your 2011 word to be?  I just realized as I signed off on this post, that joyful is one of my words in my sign off…..coincidence, I think not!
