I love Christmas baking…..and my family loves Christmas baking….that is they love eating. But I do call in the troops to help me do some of the stuff I don’t like to do, like unwrap a bag of Hershey kisses. In the next few weeks leading up to Christmas I will share with you some of our families favorite, and sometimes very easy Christmas cookies. The Chocolate Pretzels we have been making for years. The kids pitch in and help, as do their friends. This is a recipe that even a 3 year old could help with….great hand eye coordination exercise. To mix it up a little bit we are using different flavored Kisses and M&M’s for our treats. We used white mint kisses and mint M&M’s for one batch and for another, milk chocolate kisses and cherry M&M’s. Be creative, have fun and make a memory. (To view the picture you need to visit my regular blog as wordpress would not allow me to download the photo, it is a lovely picture, one not to be missed.)
- Bag of circular pretzels
- Â Candy kisses
- Â Package of M&M’s
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- Place pretzels on baking sheets. Unwrap candy kisses and place one in the center of each pretzel.
- Place in preheated oven 1 to 2 minutes, until kisses melt. Remove from oven and place one candy-coated chocolate in the center of each pretzel. Chill in refrigerator until set. (I do place mine on wax paper for easy cleanup and removal)
